
Presales Data Solutions Lead

NCS Australia is seeking a Data Solutions Lead to join our dynamic and growing team. In this pivotal role, you will be the bridge between our clients\' strategic ambitions and our technical delivery capabilities. You will act as the technical authority for data solutions during the presales cycle, architecting compelling, robust, and commercially viable data platforms for Australia\'s leading organisations. This is more than just a technical role; it\'s an opportunity to be a strategic advisor, a thought leader, and a key driver of growth for our data practice.
In this role, you will spearhead the technical presales cycle for our most critical data opportunities. Your primary responsibility is to translate complex client requirements into visionary, enterprise-grade data solutions. You will lead client workshops, design end-to-end data architectures, and author the compelling technical content for proposals and RFI/RFP responses. Acting as our data authority, you will collaborate closely with sales and delivery teams to ensure a seamless transition from concept to execution, driving innovation and client success.
Responsibilities- Lead the technical presales cycle for critical data opportunities; translate client requirements into enterprise-grade data solutions.
- Design end-to-end data architectures and author compelling technical content for proposals and RFI/RFP responses.
- Act as the data authority and collaborate with sales and delivery teams to ensure seamless transition from concept to execution.
- Facilitate client workshops and drive innovation to achieve client success.
- Proven Architectural Expertise: Extensive experience in an Enterprise Data Architect role
- Presales & Solutioning Champion: Demonstrable experience in presales or solution-selling, with a track record of shaping and winning large, complex deals
- Modern Data Stack Fluency: Expertise across cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), data warehousing, data lakes/lakehouses, data mesh concepts, data governance, and AI/ML services
- Exceptional Communicator: Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Strategic & Commercial Mindset: Understanding of linking technical solutions to business outcomes, including estimation, pricing, and commercial modelling
- Client-Facing Excellence: Polished presentation and stakeholder management skills
- Industry Certifications: TOGAF, Databricks/AWS/Azure/GCP Architect certifications are highly desirable
