Role / Secondment

A leading global company within the luxury retail industry is seeking a skilled Retail Leasing Lawyer to join its in-house legal team. This role will focus on managing a high volume of leasing matters across Australia and New Zealand, including new store openings, renewals, variations, and other property-related agreements. Working closely with the property, commercial, and executive teams, the successful candidate will provide clear, commercial advice that supports the business in delivering its growth strategy.

Key Requirements
  • Ideally looking for a junior-mid level lawyer
  • Strong experience in retail leasing law, ideally gained in both private practice and/or in-house settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and draft retail leasing documentation with precision and commercial awareness.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant property legislation, including the Retail Leases Act and other state-based leasing frameworks.
  • Proven track record in managing multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced commercial environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across business units.
  • Admission as a legal practitioner in Australia with at least 3–6 years of post-qualification experience.
