IT Operations Lead

We're looking for a strategic thinker with financial services industry experience, who also loves rolling up their sleeves to get things done. This IT Ops Lead role will involve shaping, streamlining and strengthening how technology is used across the business.
You'll be joining a top-tier financial services firm with around 50 employees spread across multiple states.

  • $140-160k + super
  • Flexible working, mostly in-office preferred (Melbourne CBD)

What you'll be doing:
Leading and delivering key IT projects, such as:
  • Introducing new collaboration tools
  • Heading up new AI initiatives
  • Implementing an intranet
  • Setting up Jira
  • Reviewing existing applications and platforms to identify gaps, redundancies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Designing and implementing policies to ensure consistent and secure use of technology across the organisation
  • Optimising everyday systems - from filing structures to communication tools - to ensure they're fit for purpose
  • Acting as both the strategic lead and hands-on problem solver to keep operations running smoothly
What we're looking for:
  • Experience in a Microsoft environment
  • Experience in financial services required
  • Experience managing IT operations and delivering technology projects end to end
  • A balance of strategic vision and a willingness to get stuck into the detail
  • Strong knowledge of collaboration and workflow tools (e.g. Jira, Trello, Monday.com, or similar)
  • The ability to assess current-state systems and design clear, effective solutions
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills to bring colleagues on the journey with you
