Join Trajan: Shape the Future of Planning & Procurement in APAC
At Trajan Scientific and Medical, our vision — Science that benefits people — drives us to enhance global communities through innovations in human health. As a leader in scientific and medical analysis, we develop and commercialise cutting-edge technologies that improve the accuracy and reliability of analysis in health, food, and environmental applications.
With strategic operations across Australia, Malaysia, and the broader Asia Pacific, Trajan is investing in the next generation of supply chain capability. We're now seeking a skilled and forward-thinking leader to join our regional operations team as an Asia Pac Supply Chain Manager.
---
About the Role:
As the Asia Pac Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for leading and optimising regional demand planning, supply planning, procurement, and material management strategies across Trajan's APAC operations. This role is pivotal to ensuring product availability, supplier performance, cost efficiency, and overall operational resilience in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.
You will collaborate cross-functionally with global operations, commercial teams, quality, and manufacturing to balance supply and demand, support new product introductions, and drive long-term sourcing strategies.
---
Key Responsibilities
· Lead end-to-end supply and demand planning for APAC manufacturing and distribution operations, aligning with sales forecasts and production capabilities.
· Oversee accurate MRP and procurement schedules, ensuring on-time delivery of materials and components to support customer demand.
· Manage strategic sourcing and supplier relationships to drive performance, negotiate contracts, and mitigate risk across the region.
· Own the regional procurement function, including cost analysis, vendor performance management, and category strategy development.
· Collaborate with global procurement and supply chain leaders to ensure alignment with global standards while addressing local operational needs.
· Leverage ERP and planning tools to enhance visibility, reporting, and scenario planning.
· Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives in inventory management, cost savings, lead time reduction, and supplier quality.
· Support new product introductions by ensuring sourcing and materials readiness across the supply chain.
· Partner with finance, quality, and manufacturing to streamline the S&OP process and ensure operational execution aligns with business goals.
· Dynamic leader with a proven ability to lead and develop teams to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will have a track record of cultivating talent, building trust, and creating an environment where individuals are supported, challenged, and empowered to grow. This role requires someone who can set clear direction, coach for performance, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.---
About You
You are a results-oriented and detail-focused supply chain professional with a strong background in planning, procurement, and supplier management with an eye for detail. You bring analytical thinking, process discipline, and a passion for building scalable supply chain systems that enable growth and innovation. Whilst not being afraid to get hands-on at times.
We are seeking an experienced and inspiring leader who excels at building high-performing teams and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous growth. The ideal candidate is a people-centric leader who communicates with clarity, motivates others through vision and integrity, and leads by example to empower individuals and drive organizational success.
---
Skills and Experience
· 7+ years' experience in supply chain planning and procurement, preferably within scientific, medical device, or high-tech manufacturing sectors.
· Strong knowledge of demand planning, MRP, purchasing, and supplier management practices.
· Proven success in strategic sourcing, cost negotiation, and contract/vendor performance management.
· Deep understanding of supply chain processes and interdependencies across Asia Pacific markets.
· Experience using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Dynamics) and analytical tools for forecasting and reporting. Experience in Pronto highly regarded.
· Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across internal and external partners.
· Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related discipline (APICS or CIPS certifications a plus).
· A collaborative and proactive approach, with the ability to operate in a fast-moving and matrixed global organisation.
