About The Role

As an In Work Mentor, you will play a vital role in ensuring sustainable employment outcomes for customers within Workforce Australia while providing practical, data-driven solutions to employers.

This role develops tailored strategies and solutions to help customers and employers achieve sustainable employment, while supporting employers to plan and grow their workforce, create future job opportunities, and strengthen staff retention.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Managing a portfolio of employers and customers to deliver timely post-placement care
  • Tracking budgets, monitoring expenditure, and preparing accurate claims for wage subsidies
  • Maintaining and updating detailed spreadsheets to track employment outcomes and performance metrics
  • Analysing data to forecast outcomes, identify trends, and address potential shortfalls
  • Verifying and collecting documentary evidence to meet funding and compliance requirements
  • Supporting employers to plan workforce needs, resolve issues, and maximise funding opportunities
  • Conducting regular workplace visits to address challenges and provide tailored interventions

What We're Looking For
  • Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, and spreadsheet management
  • A solid understanding of people-centred case management principles including barrier management as well as a detailed understanding of the principles of workforce planning
  • Experience creating customised employment opportunities and diversity programs
  • Strong relationship building and negotiation skills
  • The ability to balance empathy with the drive to work in a fast paced, target driven environment
  • You are a true people person and enjoy meeting and building relationships with people from all walks of life
  • Strong administrative, compliance capabilities and IT skills
