The Value Management Office (VMO) exists to infuse all interactions and engagements towards the fulfillment of the customers' strategic business needs with joint ownership of their long term success. As a Sr. Value Advisor for the VMO, you will shape and deliver strategic value engagements with customers. You will define the value proposition of Atlassian solutions for customers, drive innovation, and set the standard for craft excellence and customer-centricity across the organization. This is a highly influential individual contributor role focused on driving customer success.

Travel — Travel up to 15-20% may be required for this role for onsite customer meetings as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Engage with senior customer executives to develop a deep understanding of customer organizations, business processes, and strategic objectives.
  • Build influential, personalized relationships with key decision-makers, shaping decision-making and driving customer success.
  • Work as a key part of the Atlassian team to create tailored solutions that provide customers with significant value and a competitive advantage.
    • Analyze complex financial data to uncover strategic trends and drive high-impact decisions for both Atlassian and its customers.
    • Craft comprehensive business cases for diverse, ambiguous scenarios and elevate the team's analytical skills and quality.
      • Support the value framework of the organization's capabilities and beyond to power all customer interactions at scale.
      • Integrate diverse viewpoints to develop holistic, innovative solutions that optimize links between customer organization structure, people, process, and technology.
      • Guide teams in navigating ambiguity and synthesizing complex data to uncover root causes and strategic opportunities within customers.
        • Craft high-impact presentations that distill complex information into strategic insights for executive focus on key priorities.
        • Deliver compelling, executive-level value narratives guiding customer decision-making and fostering alignment across senior leadership.
          • Lead the development of VMO strategy and solutions to position Atlassian as a leader in Value Management practices.
          • Foster an environment of innovation by encouraging others to share and build on new ideas and solutions.
            • Build impactful relationships across Atlassian to ensure the VMO achieves its key business objectives and drives customer success.
              • Drive processes that collect, grade, synthesize, and redistribute critical insights.
              • Support enablement of field teams around value-based selling.
              • Coach team members to foster collaboration, learning, and development.
                • Set the standard for continuous learning and development within the VMO.
                • Package and communicate the performance of the VMO to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications

Must Haves:

  • 5+ years of experience in value consulting, management consulting / strategy consulting, quantitative research and analysis, with exposure to cloud technologies and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Prior experience in value management with a track record of leading complex, cross-functional engagements across various industries.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, storytelling, and content development skills.
  • Mastery in financial modeling, business case development, and value articulation at the executive level.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, operationalize, and exemplify the practice operating model.
  • Desire and drive to create value management infrastructure through customer engagements to enable Atlassian's sales transformation.

Nice To Haves:

  • Familiarity with Atlassian's solutions.
  • Experience with workflow management tools, service management tools, or collaboration tools.
  • Prior experience supporting a value practice.
  • Entrepreneurial experience and regional language coverage (APAC languages).
  • Relevant industry experience in financial services, software/tech, or government/public entities.
