Overview

Senior Manager Credit – Health – Brisbane. Join BOQ Group to shape smart credit decisions in Health lending, support our Health customers, and align with the bank's risk appetite. This is a national role with influence across Relationship teams, mentoring colleagues, and contributing to credit policy and strategic initiatives.

You will analyse, structure, and decision complex commercial submissions from the Health portfolio, exercising Delegated Approval Authority (DAA) to ensure deals are sound, strategic, and compliant with policies and pricing standards.

You will partner with Retail and Business Bank teams, as well as Risk, to ensure loans are signed off efficiently and effectively, while delivering better outcomes for Health customers.

Responsibilities
  • Analyse, structure, and decision complex commercial submissions from the Health portfolio.
  • Exercise Delegated Approval Authority (DAA) to ensure deals are sound, strategic, and aligned with policies and pricing standards.
  • Collaborate with Retail and Business Bank teams and Risk to streamline loan sign‑offs and improve approvals.
  • Mentor colleagues and contribute to credit policy and strategic initiatives.
  • Drive BOQ Group's growth and the purpose of Building Social Capital through Banking.
Qualifications
  • Seasoned credit professional with proven experience; exposure to large Health or commercial customer segments preferred.
  • Significant credit approval authority; ability to assess complex financials, structure deals, and mitigate risk.
  • Strong customer focus and a collaborative mindset; clear, empathetic communication in reports and meetings.
  • Curious, inclusive, and collaborative across divisions to achieve the best outcomes for Health customers.
