BOQ Group is seeking a bold and commercially savvy Senior Manager Credit – Health to join our Group Risk, Retail Credit team. This role is all about shaping smart credit decisions that support our Health customers while protecting the bank's risk appetite.
You'll be the go-to expert for analysing, structuring, and decisioning complex commercial submissions from our Health portfolio. Exercising your Delegated Approval Authority (DAA), you'll ensure every deal is sound, strategic, and aligned with our policies and pricing standards.
What sets this role apart? You'll collaborate closely with our Retail and Business Bank teams, as well as Risk of course, to ensure loans are signed off efficiently and effectively. Your insights and relationships will help streamline approvals and unlock opportunities for our Health customers.
This is a national role with real influence - partnering with Relationship teams, mentoring colleagues, and contributing to credit policy and strategic initiatives. You'll be a key player in driving BOQ Group's growth and purpose of Building Social Capital through Banking.
About you
You're a seasoned credit professional with proven experience, ideally with exposure to large Health or commercial customer segments. You've held significant credit approval authority and know how to assess complex financials, structure deals, and mitigate risk.
You bring a strong customer focus and a collaborative mindset. Your ability to communicate with empathy and clarity - whether in reports, meetings, or one-on-one conversations - makes you a trusted advisor across the business.
