We're looking for a Commercial Lead to drive sales and own our go-to-market engine. This role is about building and closing a pipeline of opportunities - and doing it in a smart, modern way. You'll use a mix of outbound, inbound, and AI-enabled strategies to identify the right prospects, start meaningful conversations, and turn interest into revenue.

You'll work closely with our founders, product, and content marketing to shape how we grow - from who we speak to, to how we pitch, to what we deliver. This is a role for someone who's strategic enough to map the field, tactical enough to build the system, and hungry enough to drive the deal from lead to close.

This isn't just a sales role. It's about owning the commercial side of the business - and building the machine that makes it scale.

What you'll do
  • Own Overlay's revenue growth targets and build a scalable sales pipeline
  • Prospect, qualify, and close new business across logistics, industrial, infrastructure and defence sectors
  • Craft outreach and referral strategies that connect with forward-thinking decision-makers
  • Build and manage a CRM-backed sales engine (HubSpot or equivalent)
  • Collaborate with marketing to ensure we're telling the right stories to the right people
  • Represent Overlay at key industry events, demos, and AI-specific briefings
  • Translate field conversations into insights that shape our go-to-market and roadmap
  • Report on sales activity, pipeline health, and customer feedback
What you bring
  • You're persuasive, commercially sharp, and driven by outcomes
  • You've owned and closed B2B sales cycles, ideally in SaaS, enterprise tech, or AI-enabled solutions
  • You're fluent in turning technical capabilities into clear business value
  • You're confident managing a pipeline from first touch to signed agreement
  • You're CRM-savvy and structured in how you track, follow up, and close
  • You're comfortable talking to both field operators and C-suite buyers
  • You're excited by the idea of helping customers adopt AI in a real, operational way
