540180 – Administration Officer Health Information Services Calvary Mater Newcastle Permanent Full Time
- Remuneration: $36.45 to $37.29 per hour + superannuation + annual leave loading + salary packaging options. Full-time role Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Provide timely and accurate support for key aspects of Health Information Services, including clinical forms supply, department reception, and assistance with release of information.
- Serve as the first point of contact for the Health Information Services, delivering professional customer service.
- Order and supply clinical forms and maintain master files, including allocation of barcodes for DMR.
- Process Release of Information requests in accordance with privacy laws, hospital policies and procedures.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support: telephone handling, message taking, preparing correspondence and documentation, filing, assisting staff with forms supply, and other duties as directed by the Manager Health Information Services.
- Coordinate, maintain and schedule meetings related to the position, including minutes, agendas, report preparation, and record management.
- Experience in a hospital or health care administrative role with high level medical terminology and computer skills.
- Attention to detail, flexibility in prioritising work, ability to manage a high workload, and capacity to adapt to change.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, independently and as part of a team.
- Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality; uphold NSW Health Privacy Principles.
- Computer skills and experience using health administration systems and Microsoft software.
