This 18 Month Fixed Term Contract is a high-impact leadership opportunity to drive a pay remediation project from strategy to execution. You will manage the full lifecycle of the program – from governance and planning to stakeholder engagement and reporting – while working alongside internal teams and external experts. Your work will support compliance, transparency, and fairness for our employees and organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and deliver the program in line with defined timelines and governance structures
- Collaborate with HR, payroll, finance, and legal to ensure end-to-end compliance
- Engage and manage third-party advisors and vendors to deliver agreed outcomes
- Ensure program documentation is auditable, accurate, and clear
- Prepare and deliver reports to senior management, regulators, unions, and employees
- Develop and maintain risk registers, decision logs, and project plans across multiple workstreams
- Support clear, employee-friendly communication on remediation outcomes
- Strong background in HR or Industrial Relations, ideally in complex environments in similar sectors.
- Demonstrated experience managing pay remediation, payroll audit, or award compliance projects
- In-depth knowledge of Australian Modern Awards – SCHADS Award highly regarded
- Solid project management skills, with a structured and outcomes-driven approach
- Advanced Excel and data reconciliation capabilities
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, vendor management, and communication skills
- A collaborative mindset with high integrity and discretion
- Experience working with external auditors, legal teams, or regulators
- Exposure to organisations with immature systems or complex award interpretation issues
- Knowledge of payroll systems or payroll operations
