Overview

Competitive salary package and company vehicle Motorama is seeking a commercially astute Group Financial Controller to lead our finance and administration function and drive strategic growth across one of Queensland's most respected automotive groups. This is a senior leadership position with a rare opportunity to influence strategy and performance.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the CEO and COO, this pivotal role will oversee financial strategy, governance, compliance, and performance across Motorama. You'll lead a high-performing finance team and provide critical insights to support executive decision-making, investment planning, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with senior leadership to evaluate growth initiatives and capital investments.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting across the group.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory obligations (BAS, GST, PAYG, FBT, payroll tax).
  • Oversee cash flow, working capital, and financial risk management.
  • Deliver actionable insights through Power BI dashboards and performance scorecards.
  • Liaise with the Board, Servco Australia (Motorama's parent company), and the Audit & Risk Committee on governance and audit matters.
  • Inspire and develop a capable finance team aligned with Motorama's values and strategy.
What You'll Bring
  • Proven success in senior financial leadership, ideally in automotive, retail, or related industries.
  • Strong technical expertise in accounting, taxation, compliance, and reporting.
  • Experience with financial systems and BI tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Exceptional leadership and people development skills.
  • CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence.
