The Sales and Marketing Assistant supports the sales and marketing functions by handling administrative tasks, outbound lead generation, and marketing support activities. This role is ideal for someone with a proactive attitude, who thrives in a dynamic environment, and is looking to grow their skills in sales, marketing, and operational support.

The role involves assisting with CRM management, identifying industry events, preparing documentation and marketing collateral, email marketing and supporting reporting functions.

  1. Become the expert in our lead generation and qualification activities and automations.
  2. Manage and maintain the CRM, ensuring data is accurate and up-to-date.
  3. Prepare sales documentation and proposals for the Business Development team.
  4. Identify potential trade shows, conferences, and events relevant to the business.
  5. Support reporting on sales metrics and pipeline updates.

Marketing Support

  1. Assist in executing marketing campaigns, including email campaigns, social media content, and website updates.
  2. Coordinate marketing collateral creation and distribution.
  3. Update nurturing journeys at all stages of the lifecycle as required.
  4. Research and identify partnership and sponsorship opportunities.
  5. Manage and track the success of marketing initiatives, generating reports for review.

Administrative Tasks

  1. Handle day-to-day administrative tasks for the sales and marketing teams, including meeting coordination, minute-taking, updating contract registers, and sending documentation.
  2. Maintain marketing and sales tools, ensuring seamless operation and team access.
  3. Support document management, including contracts, proposals, and presentations.
  4. Provide general administrative support to streamline operations.

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  2. Basic understanding of sales and marketing principles.
  3. Experience or interest in CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot).
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  5. Organisational and multitasking skills with a high attention to detail.
  6. Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Preferred Experience:

  1. 1-2 years of experience in a similar sales, marketing, or administrative role.
  2. Familiarity with marketing tools such as Mailchimp, Canva, HubSpot, Google Analytics is advantageous.
  3. Formal marketing qualifications highly regarded.
