STM Trucks & Machinery is a family owned & operated business that has been operating for almost 50 years. We have 3 locations in Southwest Sydney, Wollongong & Canberra. We provide new & used sales for commercial vehicles and construction equipment, along with service, spare parts and finance for a wide range of clients in transport, warehousing, construction, infrastructure, civil works, waste management and government bodies. STM Trucks & Machinery (Daimler Trucks South Coast) is now the authorised dealer for Mercedes-Benz & Freightliner Trucks, and an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Technician / Diesel Mechanic to join our growing Unanderra branch. The position is on a full-time basis with a competitive remuneration package.

Your duties will include, but are not limited, to the following:
  • Trade Certificates for Heavy Diesel Automotive (or equivalent)
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Ability to work unsupervised and follow instructions
  • Accurately complete job service reports & paperwork
  • Commitment to safe work practices
  • Commitment to long term employment and its opportunities
  • Completion OEM technical training programs
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Current NSW driver's licence
  • Strong work ethics, punctuality and reliability
  • Ability to maintain a 100% work efficiency
  • Ability to work on a range of light, medium & heavy vehicles
  • Ability to work offsite if and when required
  • Ability to work overtime & Saturdays, as required
  • Own tools (specialised tooling provided)
