Job Description

We're on the lookout for a passionate and results-driven business development professional to join our high-performing team atOaks Cypress Lakes Resort in the Hunter Valley. This full-time role is focused on growing thegolf and sporting groups segment, with a competitive salary of up to$82,000 plus benefitson offer for the right candidate.

You'll play a key role in positioning both Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort and Elysia Wellness Retreat as premier destinations for group sporting and golf travel. This is a fantastic opportunity to blend your love for sport with your sales expertise in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving growth across the golf and sporting groups market through proactive sales activity
  • Developing and executing sales strategies to increase group bookings and revenue
  • Managing key accounts including sports clubs, leisure operators, schools, and associations
  • Generating leads, creating proposals, and converting enquiries into confirmed business
  • Representing the resort and retreat at trade events, tournaments, and industry functions
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of group experiences
  • Coordinating site inspections, familiarisations, and client meetings
  • Tracking performance, managing CRM records, and reporting on key metrics
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of experience in sales, preferably in hospitality, tourism, or the sporting industry
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a proven track record of hitting targets
  • A strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to driving growth
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • A genuine passion for golf or sporting groups, and an understanding of this market
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
