Harris Fields State School, a vibrant and diverse multicultural community committed to celebrating culture, strengthening student identity, and building strong connections with families and the wider community, is seeking an organised and enthusiastic Administrative Officer (AO2) to provide administrative and coordination support for a range of cultural programs including the Cultural Dance Group, Cultural Choir, QPS Police Liaison Officer initiatives such as Pacific Island Roots, Art in Action with a Middle Eastern focus, and the Pan-African Culture Program, the PACIFIKAI program from Children's Health Queensland, and attendance initiatives, supporting the smooth delivery of these programs to keep students and families actively engaged in school and community life.

This is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.

About The Role
As the Administrative Officer, you will support the effective administrative management of the school by providing timely assistance to the Principal and Business Manager. You will resolve routine issues following established procedures and consult leadership for more complex matters.

Your Responsibilities
As the Administrative Officer, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide a range of administrative services to support attendance, the coordination and delivery of school cultural programs.
  • Assist with scheduling, record management, communications, and resource organisation.
  • Support the organisation of cultural performances, school events, and community activities.
  • Liaise with staff, families, community partners, and external agencies to share information and encourage engagement.
  • Perform general administrative duties as required to support the effective running of the programs.
