Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities

Boronia Heights State School is looking for a reliable and hands-on Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities to help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our school community. In this role you'll carry out a variety of routine maintenance, small repair and groundskeeping tasks.

This is a progressional position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the lower classification with eligibility for progression to the next, once specific criteria have been met or demonstrated. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of both classification ranges.

Step Into Your Next Chapter
- Co-ordinate and carry out repairs and maintenance to school infrastructure including furniture,equipment, locks, windows and maintain detailed records in line with Work Health and Safetyprotocols.
- Support the set up and logistical needs of school events.
- Deliver parcels to classrooms.
- Maintain school grounds and gardens.
- Maintain effective communication with the Principal, Business Manager and Facilities Supervisorregarding scheduled and urgent maintenance tasks.
- Proven hands-on experience in building maintenance including routine repairs and upkeep ofschool facilities, furniture, fixtures and equipment.
- Be skilled in identifying, diagnosing and resolving common maintenance issues related toplumbing, electrical systems, locks windows and general carpentry.
- Familiarity with managing tools, equipment and maintenance records in accordance withworkplace health and safety requirements.
