We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Nurse to join the hospital's Clinical Leadership Team in the role of Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE). The CNE is a hands-on role, responsible for developing and delivering clinical education content as well as facilitating and coordinating New Grad programs. The CNE will contribute to the development and coordination of our clinical education framework, policies and procedures, along with assisting the management team in ongoing mandatory education compliance throughout the facility.

The ideal candidate will promote and role model patient centered care and evidence based best practice to facilitate the hospital's strategic plans to sustainably grow and enhance our clinical workforce. They will have experience and innovative ideas in how to support the clinical team through developing and coordinating opportunities to expand our nurses clinical skills. A key focus will be to ensure a high standard of clinical care, aligned with ACHS National Standards and legislation, is provided to every patient.

• Current unrestricted AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1), General
• Minimum 5 years acute medical/surgical nursing experience
• A team player with strong collaborative interpersonal skills with well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated expert knowledge of evidence based clinical best practice.
• Demonstrated preceptorship and education experience through a deep understanding of adult teaching and learning principles in the context of nursing.
• Ability to plan, implement and evaluate clinical education programs including the development of nursing competencies and learning packages.
• Demonstrated ability to promote, implement and monitor quality improvement principles relating to ACHS clinical standards and nursing education evidence.
• Demonstrated computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook (MS Office).
• Relevant postgraduate tertiary qualifications in education/teaching or equivalent or working towards same.
• Knowledge or experience performing a gap analysis on staff's knowledge deficits in relation to delivery of patient care.
• Knowledge or experience performing gap analysis of patient care.
• Participation in policy and procedure development.
• Knowledge of ACHS accreditation and relevant legislative requirements.
• Adult and Paediatric Advanced Life Support (ALS & PALS) or willingness to obtain same.

• Developing and delivering clinical education content and coordinating New Grad programs.
• Contributing to the development and coordination of the clinical education framework, policies and procedures.
• Assisting the management team in ongoing mandatory education compliance throughout the facility.
• Promoting patient centered care and evidence-based best practice to align with hospital strategic plans.
• Supporting the clinical team by developing and coordinating opportunities to expand nurses' clinical skills.
• Ensuring a high standard of clinical care aligned with ACHS standards and legislation.
• Policy and procedure development participation.
