About the Job

The Clinical Nurse Educator role is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced nurse to join our team in Western NSW. As a key member of our education department, you will be responsible for providing clinical education, training and evaluation of knowledge and skills to promote improved nursing care within our district.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver day-to-day and one-on-one clinical education programs to meet team and individual learning needs, focusing on new or inexperienced staff.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and development within our framework, driving excellence in nursing practice.
  • Evaluate educational programs through clinical competency assessments, ensuring they meet the highest standards.
  • Contribute to the development and review of procedures and guidelines to improve the provision of education advice and expertise.

You will require advanced clinical nursing skills, demonstrated knowledge and skill using technology appropriate to the clinical area. Additionally, you will need a sound understanding of learning and assessment principles gained from both experience and education.

Requirements:

  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment, or willingness to work towards.
  • Evidence of advanced clinical nursing skills, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skill using technology appropriate to the clinical area, with a focus on innovation and improvement.
