The NSW Government introduced its Climate Change (Net Zero Future) Act in 2023. The Climate Change Act commits New South Wales to cutting greenhouse gas emissions by at least 50% by 2030 and reaching net zero by 2050. Construction of the transmission infrastructure and generation projects in Renewable Energy Zones (REZ) will require delivery of large and heavy components via the State Road network.
