A reputable & established leader in the financial services industry Drive the implementation of impactful IT projects Be a driving force in their exciting growth journey Head of Technology Sydney CBD Buy Side Funds, Wealth Management, Asset Management, Investment Management, Private Equity Familiar with Infrastructure / Development / Data teams About the role: As the Head of Information Technology, you will oversee technology operations, ensuring the alignment of our clients IT strategy with their business goals. You will lead a small team of skilled professionals across infrastructure, data, development, and AI, driving innovation and efficiency. Your leadership will be critical in maintaining their competitive edge in the financial services industry. Accountabilities: Lead and manage a small technology team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture Develop and implement strategic IT initiatives that align with business objectives and drive operational efficiency Oversee infrastructure management, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of systems Guide the development team in building and maintaining high-quality software solutions Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions Manage budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure the successful delivery of projects About you: Proven experience as a General Manager of Technology, Head of Technology, Head of IT, or similar leadership role Industry experience in either; Buy Side Funds, Wealth Management, Asset Management, Investment Management, Private Equity, Venture Capital Strong background in managing small tech teams (under 20) and leading cross-functional projects In-depth knowledge of infrastructure, software development and data Good knowledge and experience of various Investment and Financial Services platforms and systems Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills Strong communication and leadership abilities, with a track record of driving team performance and engagement as well as influencing at the executive level Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment If you are looking for a new role within a niche financial services business, with a passion for smaller close-knit teams, we want to hear from you If you have any questions, reach out to Shannon.
