Overview

Advanced Support Worker - Bank (Female) role at Community Integrated Care. Brand-new purpose-built service for 5 individuals in Mintlaw, with 24-hour support needs and 2:1 staffing during the day. This is a full-time role with flexible shift patterns and guaranteed/contracted hours.

Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred support, promoting choice, independence and overall wellbeing for people we support.
  • Engage in a variety of activities (walking, cycling, arts and crafts, baking and cooking, social outings, community activities) and assist with daily living needs.
  • Attend to 24-hour staffing requirements with 2:1 daytime coverage; support may include waking nights or potential night-time sleepovers/smart technology as residents settle in.
  • Maintain relationship-based support, ensuring engagement in community activities and outings (gym, swimming, pubs, restaurants, clubs, family visits).
  • Utilise Positive Behaviour Support methods where appropriate; participate in specialist training and professional development.
  • Demonstrate reliability, flexibility and motivation; support adults with learning disabilities and complex needs; share skills with colleagues.
  • Hold or strive toward the required qualifications (SVQ Level 3 in Social Care preferred) or relevant social care experience.
  • Possess a manual UK driving licence; note that for this role a female colleague is required due to a genuine occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience working with adults with learning disabilities and complex needs; flexibility, reliability and motivation are essential.
  • SVQ Level 3 in Social Care preferred; if not held, relevant experience in social care will be considered.
  • Formal requirement: female role due to genuine occupational requirement (Equality Act 2010).
  • Driving licence (manual) is essential.
