We are seeking a Network Administrator to join our team, reporting to the Manager Ticketing. In this role, you will be responsible for the administration of information and communication technology (ICT) across metroCARD network. The position works closely with the Network Technical Officer, DIT ICT, Cyber Security and Ticketing metroCARD vendors to ensure the effective operations of the Ticketing network infrastructure.
The Network Administrator is required to work with limited direction on the administration management of Adelaide Fare Collection System (AFCS). The role analyses and provides recommendations for network architecture and development. The role implements, manages, maintains, and configures network hardware and software to optimise performance of the Ticketing network, including troubleshooting network administration issues, managing user passwords and security and providing technical support.
The role involves the resolution of complex issues that can significantly impact on public transport related business systems and the travelling public. The role contributes to the design of technical administrative solutions consistent with operational requirements, industry best practice, Government Policies and relevant Legislation.

Qualifications/Experience
Bachelor's degree or tertiary qualification in Information and Communication Technology, Computer will be highly regarded.
Experience of system architecture, virtualisation, networking, hosting and cyber security.
Special Conditions
A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.
Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.
Remuneration
ASO5 - $85,790 to $95,413 pa + superannuation
