Senior Personal Injury Lawyer

Based in the Brisbane CBD, this well-established Law Firm is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Personal Injury Lawyer to their growing team. With a focus on providing high-level service and professional advice, this varied role will support new and existing clients with their personal legal requirements.

About the Role

This role will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a variety of Personal Injury matters. Reporting directly to the CEO and the Legal Practice Director, this is an autonomous role where you will have full carriage of your files. This role will be supported by a dedicated legal support team.

You will be responsible for the following key areas:

1. Provision of legal advice on a mixed portfolio of plaintiff personal injury matters including Motor Vehicle, Workcover, and PIPA claims.
2. Representing clients in conferences, court proceedings, and negotiations, including instructing counsel;
3. Guiding clients through every step of their matter, ensuring clear understanding, a high level of client service, and efficient file management;
4. Working with clients in person and virtually, providing exceptional client service and managing client relationships;
5. Drafting of various legal documents relevant to each file;
6. Liaising with other relevant parties throughout all matters;
7. Staying abreast of relevant legal developments and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations across Queensland;
8. Conducting legal research and analysis to report to management;
9. Undertaking marketing and business development activities;
10. Supervision and direction of administration and support staff as required.

About You

We are interested in hearing from you if you have:

1. Proven experience autonomously managing a mixed portfolio of Personal Injury Law matters (7 years+ PAE), with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and case law;
2. Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a demonstrated professional approach to both clients and team members;
3. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment;
4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to provide clear and practical advice to clients;
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically;
6. A collaborative and team-oriented approach, with a commitment to providing exceptional client service;
7. A highly organised, proactive, and deadline-focused approach to work;
8. A current practising certificate with admission to practise law in Queensland.
