Customer Service Specialist (Part-Time – 30 Hours/Week)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, ~30 hours/week

Overview:

A small manufacturing company in Steele Creek, NC, is seeking a proactive and personable Customer Service Specialist to be the front-line support for client inquiries, purchase order processing, and internal communications. This is an onsite role and plays a vital part in ensuring excellent customer interaction and accurate internal flow of information.

This position has the potential to grow into a full-time role for the right person.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming phone calls and document relevant information
  • Route customer inquiries and order details to the appropriate team members
  • Learn and navigate our ERP system (IFS experience is a major plus)
  • Process purchase orders and enter them accurately into the system
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products and services
  • Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams (sales, production, etc.)
  • Provide friendly, professional customer-facing service via phone and email
  • Support other general administrative and order-related tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience in customer service or order processing, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Willingness to learn ERP systems (IFS knowledge is a big plus)
  • Comfortable working in a small, hands-on team environment
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Compensation:

  • Competitive hourly rate based on experience
  • Approx. 30 hours/week; no benefits at this time
