Overview

Medical Radiation Scientist (Nuclear Medical Technologist Level 2) at NSW Health. Employment Type: Permanent Full Time. Position Classification: Nuclear Medical Technologist Level 2. Remuneration: $76,045 - $104,754 per annum + Superannuation. Location: Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Requisition ID: REQ578076.

The Royal Prince Alfred is the principal teaching hospital of the University of Sydney and offers specialty services from its main campus as well as from Institute of Rheumatology and Orthopaedics, Chris O'Brien Lifehouse and Dame Edith Walker Hospitals. RPAH is a leading hospital providing diagnostic and treatment services across specialties including cardiology, obstetrics and gynaecology, cancer, respiratory medicine, neurology, liver and kidney transplants.

Responsibilities
  • The primary purpose of the role is to provide quality patient care while performing a range of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Nuclear Medicine (NM) procedures as well as PET-CT imaging.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, perform patient imaging, collect and analyse data, conduct quality control on equipment, and record data in the Departmental Database.
Ideal Candidate / Qualifications
  • Holds Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Radiation Science) Nuclear Medicine. Licensed with the EPA or eligible and registered with AHPRA for national accreditation.
  • Ability to ensure safety of self, co-workers and patients by adopting and following safe work practices.
  • Demonstrated active participation in continuous professional development.
