Key Role in Imaging Services

The Clinical Specialist Radiographer plays a pivotal part in delivering high-quality imaging services to patients within the Orthopaedics department.

Core Responsibilities:

  • To leverage clinical expertise in musculoskeletal imaging, collaborating closely with the General Section Manager Radiographer to ensure optimal patient care and workflow management.
  • To facilitate the orientation and training of radiographers and medical radiation science students in the speciality of Rheumatology and Orthopaedics.
  • To oversee the coordination of workflow from clinical areas/departments, including theatres, inpatients, and outpatients, to guarantee maximum throughput and utilization within the given work area.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Degree in Medical Radiation Science or equivalent qualification.
  • Holder of NSW EPA Radiation Licence and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Possess extensive knowledge, expertise, and experience within the area of specialisation (Orthopaedics), including procedures and associated imaging equipment.
