What You'll Do

Play a pivotal role in the Community Services by providing personal, physical and emotional support to NDIS Participants and Aged Care Consumers.

  • Provide friendly, compassionate support to people supported by the NDIS and Aged Care programs, assisting with daily living tasks as required.
  • Work effectively in a community support environment to assist participants and consumers in meeting their physical and emotional needs.
  • Communicate appropriately with participants, consumers and colleagues to ensure positive outcomes.
  • Participate in safety procedures for direct personal care to maintain a safe working environment and ensure WHS regulations are adhered to.
  • Ensure Council policies and procedures are followed and resources are deployed effectively.
What You'll Bring To The Team

Education Requirements

  • NDIS Workers Orientation Module (essential)
  • A current First Aid certificate (essential)

Experience and Knowledge

  • Demonstrated caring and supportive attitude towards participants and consumers.
  • Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment and respect the values, customs, beliefs of participants and their families.
  • Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality.
  • Sound knowledge of Work Health and Safety principles.

Other Requirements

  • Criminal History Check (issued within the last 3 months)
  • Current Working with Children's Clearance (Ochre Card)
  • A valid driver's licence
  • NDIS Workers Clearance
