About The Role

We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer – Indirect to join our supply chain team in Smithfield. This is a 12mth Fixed Term Contract where your role is pivotal to ensuring the smooth operation of indirect purchasing across Vinidex. If you're experienced in SAP and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this is a great opportunity to work locally while making a meaningful impact.

What You Will Do In The Role

• Create and maintain vendor profiles in SAP for indirect spend categories
• Convert purchase requisitions into accurate purchase orders
• Update supplier acknowledgements and delivery schedules
• Resolve supplier issues including invoice variances, returns, and quality concerns
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure efficient procurement processes
  
  

About You

• Proven experience using SAP in a purchasing or procurement role (essential)
• Strong analytical skills and intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience in a supply chain or operations environment preferred
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Able to work independently, manage change, and prioritise effectively
• Customer-focused with a commitment to continuous improvement
