About The Role
- Our successful candidates will be working with women, families and midwives in the birthing and postnatal units, in a supportive role as an Assistant in Midwifery
- This role offers clinical support which is available from the education, management and midwifery team.
- You will be working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to support women and newborns and promote safety and quality in the workplace.
- John Hunter Hospital (JHH) is a large tertiary referral centre within Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD) offering a variety of clinical experiences.

- Currently attending the Bachelor of Midwifery Degree at an Australian University
- Have successfully completed first year full time equivalent of studies (or part time of 2 years)
- Remain an active participant in the Bachelor of Midwifery throughout your employment with HNELHD.
- Have passed all AMSATS for all semesters prior to application for AIM.
