Overview

Health Product Analyst role at AIA Australia, based in Melbourne. The position supports analytics initiatives, translates complex data insights and analyzes product performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and work closely with the AIA Health Actuarial team and Appointed Actuary.

Responsibilities
  • Support analytic efforts to enhance business processes and outcomes
  • Investigate and define customer segments to uplift profitability and retention
  • Identify and investigate claims trends
  • Support definition of project objectives
  • Acquire and explore data with guidance
  • Build predictive models with guidance
  • Interpret and communicate results within the team and support communications outside the team
  • Implement, document and maintain models with guidance
  • Other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by management
Qualifications
  • Experience working within the life or health insurance industry
  • Tertiary qualifications in data analytics, business or related discipline
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication and attention to detail
  • Experience in statistical / machine learning techniques and delivery
