Are you a strategic property leader with deep retail leasing experience and a passion for driving commercial outcomes? KMD Brands is seeking a dynamic Head of Property to lead our ANZ property function, overseeing a portfolio of 300+ stores across Australia, New Zealand and the USA.

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, this is a hands-on leadership role managing a high-performing team of three plus market specific external consultants. You'll be responsible for the full property lifecycle – from new store acquisitions and lease renewals to landlord negotiations and lease administration.

You'll also be the key escalation point for all property-related matters, ensuring our stores operate smoothly and our lease portfolio is optimised for growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the ANZ Property team
  • Manage lease renewals, new store negotiations, exits, and assignments
  • Maintain strong relationships with major landlords (Westfield, Vicinity, QIC, GPT, Dexus)
  • Oversee lease administration and ensure data integrity in Lease Eagle
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on store development and maintenance
  • Prepare board reports, financial assessments, and property updates
  • Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes, and reporting

What You'll Bring

  • 7+ years of retail leasing experience across Australia and New Zealand
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to manage lease portfolios and property teams
  • Experience with Lease Eagle or similar leasing software
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
