Join Interite, a national design and construct firm at the forefront of specialist healthcare, indigenous, and commercial interior offices. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Technical Designer to support the design development and delivery process across projects. This role involves preparing a wide range of technical documentation, conducting site audits, and coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that design intent is accurately translated into built outcomes. You will play a key role in managing regulatory submissions, construction documentation, and cross-disciplinary coordination.

Design Documentation & Drawing Production

Prepare and maintain detailed drawing sets including:

Existing Conditions Plans

Concept Plans

DA (Development Application) & CofU (Change of Use) Drawings

Working Drawings

CDC (Complying Development Certificate) / BP (Building Permit) Drawings

IFC (Issued for Construction) Drawings

As-Built Drawings

Ensure technical accuracy and compliance with relevant codes and regulations.

Support the development of clear and coordinated drawing packages for design, construction, and approval phases.

Site & Project Coordination

Conduct site audits and prepare site documentation.

Liaise with internal design, construction, and project management teams to ensure design intent is upheld.

Coordinate with external consultants including structural, services, and compliance engineers.

Facilitate clear communication between project stakeholders through all project stages.

Approvals & Submissions

Prepare and coordinate submissions for:

Certifier and Council approvals (DA, CofU, CDC, BP)

Notices of Completion and Occupancy Permits

Various other statutory and regulatory submissions

Act as the point of contact for tracking and managing approvals through the design and construction process.

Document Control

Maintain version control and transmittals for all project documentation.

Ensure document standards and protocols are followed in accordance with project and company requirements.

Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Architectural Drafting, Design, Interior Design, or a related field.

5 years of experience in a technical design

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting software.

Solid understanding of local building codes, regulations, and planning processes.

Strong coordination skills and experience working with multidisciplinary teams.

High attention to detail, with strong organizational and time management abilities.

Preferred Skills

Experience with document management systems (e.g., Aconex, Procore, or similar).

Knowledge of sustainability standards and accessibility codes.

Familiarity with commercial fit-out processes or base-building upgrades.
