Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Pipeline Technical Lead to join our team in Brisbane. This key role will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership in the design and development of oil and gas pipelines.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with a minimum of 8 years' experience in the design of oil and gas pipelines. You will also possess excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to mentor and manage junior engineers.

In this role, you will work closely with project managers and team members to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Your expertise in pipeline design, including concept development, FEED, and detail design phases, will be essential in delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support in engineering and design processes for oil and gas pipelines
  • Develop and support FEED and designs studies, including detailed design calculations
  • Participate and support in risk assessment and SMS workshops
  • Proactively communicate with project managers and team members to ensure projects are delivered within scope, schedule, and resources
  • Ability to manage and track single-discipline projects
  • Prepare and support cost estimates, equipment summaries, and tender packages
  • Write technical reports as required
