Job Title: Senior Design Expert

We are looking for an experienced Senior Design Expert to lead and grow our small design team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil and structural engineering, with expertise in designing complex structural solutions.

This role involves managing scopes within agreed budgets, utilising resources effectively, and working closely with the design team to conceptualise structural solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical input and estimates to assist with tenders and proposals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading and growing a small design team.
  • Managing scopes within agreed budgets.
  • Designing complex structural solutions.
  • Providing technical input and estimates to assist with tenders and proposals.
Requirements:
  • A chartered engineer registration (Structural) is preferable.
  • Some site experience and a practical attitude to solving construction-related problems.
  • Experience in complex structural engineering, such as complex bridge projects.
  • A sound understanding of structural systems and load path based on first principles.
  • Familiarity with Australian Standard Design Codes of Practice.
  • Competency with 3D structural analysis software.
  • Proactive problem-solving capability.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and report writing skills.
