Swim Squad Coach with Hampton Swim School – Brisbane

  • Coach of 4 level recreational/competitive squad program and higher learn to swim levels
  • Supportive continuous development opportunities - paid for any training/PD

Hampton Swim School is looking for a reliable, passionate and enthusiastic person to join our team on a permanent part-time basis. This role has a minimum guaranteed hours of between 15-20 hrs per week year-round, with additional hours available from September holidays through to the end of April School Holidays.

Hampton Swim School is a year-round facility, that prides itself on being a supportive workplace and vibrant and energetic atmosphere. Our philosophy is NURTURE ACHIEVE CELEBRATE across our programs and with our swimmers, parents and team. Our program is all about FUN, FIT, FAST AND FORM, with a little friendly competition.

An exciting vacancy exists for an experienced and qualified coach to take the lead of our squad program TEAM ACCELERATE at our Cannon Hill pool. We are seeking enthusiastic, mature applicants for this role, and have a year-round & long-term position in our heated facility available for a committed and dedicated candidate. You may also be required to teach some of our higher level learn to swim classes.

TEAM ACCELERATE Is The Swim Squad Program Designed To Keep Kids Swimming After Learn To Swim Because Swimming Is FUN. They May Swim For FUN Only, For Continued FORM, Or For FITNESS To Complement Their Other Sport. Or, They May Swim To Be FAST And Win Races Our Program Welcomes And Caters To All Swimmers, Whether They Wish To Compete Or Not, And Requires a Coach Who Is
  • Prepared to set achievable enjoyable swim sets including fun skills and drills activities, combined with endurance-based lap sets, developing a reusable program along the way.
  • Able and willing to work with our young squad swimmers who range in age mostly from 7 - 14 years, including with combination of in/out water with the first 2 levels, and out of water with the last 2 levels.
  • A positive behaviour management-based leader who comes with personality plus, as much about the fun as you are about swimming technique, and with a relationship building approach.
  • A self-motivated and customer-orientated attitude, with the ability to work well in a team and contribute to the open exchange of ideas and discussion
