OverviewThis is a Clinical Pharmacist role with electronic medication management responsibilities. The position is based in East Melbourne, offering 40 hours per week with an RDO every 4 weeks, and tax‑effective salary packaging. It provides a chance to develop digital, clinical, organisational, and interpersonal skills in a newly redeveloped state‑of‑the‑art hospital.
Responsibilities- Provide a clinical pharmacy service to patients as part of a rotational position.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert for medication‑related digital health applications and provide medication content support to the Clinical Informatics Team.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to promote medication safety and effective use of medicines.
- Registration with AHPRA as a practising pharmacist with no restrictions.
- Experience as a clinical pharmacist in an Australian hospital setting for a minimum of 2 years.
- Prior experience using electronic prescribing software, preferably Cerner.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Dedicated to promoting medication safety and quality use of medicines.
- Inspired to lead process improvement with electronic medication management.
The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital is a world‑class specialist hospital in eye and ear care providing services across Victoria. The hospital recently completed a major redevelopment.
All appointments are subject to a satisfactory Police Record Check, a Working with Children check (if applicable), and evidence of vaccination status.
