The department also has a leading Digital Health strategy, playing a pivotal role in managing the electronic medication management system within our comprehensive electronic medical record (Cerner), with an advanced level of integration linking this to the Pharmacy Dispensing (iPharmacy) and Automated Medication Storage systems (Omnicell). This is complemented by a strong clinical presence and a Centre for Medicine Use and Safety program to achieve a considered, safe and financially responsible approach to medication management within Alfred Heath. There are vast opportunities to engage in Advanced Scopes of Practice. This includes undertaking credentialing programs and leading clinical activities such as Partnered Pharmacist Medicine Charting, Therapeutic Drug Monitoring, Nicotine Replacement Therapy, and Analgesia de-escalation, to name a few. The department also has advanced Education programs with Foundation Residency and Advanced Training Residency to support career progression, including opportunities to rotate to external hospitals. About the Role The Senior Pharmacist – Brain Program position is a clinical leadership position providing progressive, patient-centred pharmacy services to Alfred Health's Brain Program consisting of Neurology, Epilepsy, Neurosurgery, stoke and related units across both inpatient and outpatient services. The position will be primarily responsible for the day to day delivery and coordination of clinical pharmacy services within the Alfred Brain clinical team, including pharmacist-led outpatient clinics in accordance with service protocols. The successful applicant will work in collaboration with the Lead and Senior Pharmacists in the broader pharmacy team to provide leadership and oversight across patient care. This role offers significant opportunities for professional growth, leadership development, and contribution to service innovation within a highly specialised clinical area.
