Overview

We are seeking a Ranger to join the Town of Victoria Park, reporting to the Parking and Rangers team in a full-time permanent capacity. This role involves enforcing Council's Local Laws and legislative requirements relating to animals, litter and bushfire control. The Town supports a culture of respect, collaboration and teamwork.

Your new role

Working alongside the Town's Information and Parking officers, the primary responsibility of the Ranger role is to enforce Council's Local Laws and various legislative requirements relating to animals, litter and bushfire control.

What You'll Need To Succeed
  • Completion of or progression towards a Regulatory Officer Compliance Skills (ROCS) 1 and 2.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Dog and cat management experience including dog attack investigation, impoundments and issuing infringements.
  • Enforcement of Local Laws including breach investigation, prosecution, and court appearances.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work within a team and customer focus.
  • Capacity to interpret and apply legislation and Values driven with a team and customer focus.
  • Intermediate technology and computer literacy.
  • Current 'C' class driver's license.
  • Current National Police Certificate.
