About The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for a Project Manager to join Savills Brisbane on a 12 month fixed term contract, working on a project valued over $200m. Based on site with the client, this is a unique role that will provide an ambitious and driven Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager looking to accelerate their career. It offers the chance to step up and further develop their skills and experience within Savills' well regarded QLD Project Management team. While this role is initially a maternity leave cover, there is the potential that there will be further opportunities within the Savills Project Management team at the end of the contract.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Assist to define, plan, manage, review and control projects under general guidance and supervision from a Project Director or Senior Project Manager.
  • Develop and maintain high quality project records, such as but not limited to, management plans, cost schedules, time schedules, risk assessments and issue registers.
  • Assist the Commercial Delivery team to achieve the necessary approvals through the clients delivery cycle, with key advice areas being scope, time, cost, risk, and procurement.
  • Review and assess incoming documentation from project sponsors, contractors, consultants, internal and external stakeholders, and action accordingly.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting.
  • Assist in managing consultants and contractors on project delivery to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective outcomes in accordance with the contract terms.
  • Maintain compliance with project management framework all of the clients policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the projects' stages are handed over and closed out efficiently and effectively to any relevant stakeholders.

What Sets You Apart
  • Tertiary qualifications in a property or a construction related discipline
  • Previous experience in Construction Project Management
  • Strong understanding and proven experience with a range of delivery methodologies, in particular, Head Contract, ECI and Design and Construct is preferable.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen
  • Excellent communication skills; written, listening and verbal
  • Be well presented and have a positive attitude
  • Experience of all stages of projects from planning through to handover
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Experience managing multiple internal and external stakeholders across all project stages
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Skilled in influencing, negotiating, and problem-solving with stakeholders
  • Client-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high quality outcomes
  • Comfortable working across multidisciplinary teams and adapting to varying project demands
