The Role: This role involves collaborating with the Executive Manager to support the 2nd Line Business Banking Team with risk committee reporting.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide Line 2 support to Business Banking Compliance through risk reporting, data analytics, and hindsight reviews of incidents.
  • Offer insights into the quality and maturity of compliance management using analytical tools.
  • Conduct hindsight reviews on incidents, issues, and compliance assessments to meet group standards.
  • Collaborate continuously with the Line 1 Risk & Compliance team in Business Banking.
  • Extract data and metrics from various sources to input into the Compliance Dashboard, forming reliable insights for group and regulatory reporting.
  • Build effective relationships with Group Compliance, Operational Risk, Controls Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs.
  • Support regulatory interactions for Business Banking with agencies such as APRA, ASIC, AFCA, and CCMC.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in an analytical and reporting role within large financial institutions.
  • Good understanding of risk and compliance practices in corporate financial services.
  • Genuine interest in learning about the legal and regulatory environment impacting Retail/Business Banking.
  • Experience dealing with banking regulators is highly desirable.
  • Ability to think critically in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent time and project management skills.
  • Relevant qualifications such as CFA, CA/CPA, FRM, MBA, or Law Degree are desirable.
  • Proficiency in data analysis using Excel and Microsoft tools.
