We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Senior Speech Pathologist to join our team at Mona Vale Hospital. This position is based in Mona Vale Hospital and associated Northern Sydney Local Health District sites.

What you'll be doing

In this role, you will be responsible for providing high quality assessment, diagnosis and management of acquired communication and swallowing difficulties across sub-acute inpatient and outpatient settings. As a Senior Speech Pathologist, your responsibilities will include providing clinical supervision, engaging in departmental quality improvement projects, and contributing to service evaluation and planning.

Qualifications and experience
  • A bachelor or postgraduate degree in Speech Pathology and eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia. Evidence of extensive clinical experience, including experience as a Level 2 Speech Pathologist or equivalent.
  • Experience in leadership and/or supervision of Speech Pathology staff, Allied Health Assistants or Speech Pathology students.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and clinical skill with a neurology and general adult caseload in rehabilitation and outpatient settings. Experience with instrumental assessment, including VFSS and/or FEES.
  • High standard of verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and ability to liaise with health professionals and external service providers.
