About the job:

For our dynamic Motion division in Perth, WA at the earliest possible date we are looking for a: Sales Manager.

Reporting to the Director of Sales, Motion Australasia your mission will be to achieve sales plans for the WA region whilst enhancing the reputation of Exide Technologies as an ethical supplier of quality products. You will build strong customer relationships to develop and optimise the current and future business channels within the WA Motion segment.

What will your daily responsibilities include in this role?

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the WA region to achieve revenue and profitability targets. Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to capitalise on them.
  • Leadership/Coaching & Development: Provide leadership and guidance to the Motion WA team, including developing sales plans, and monitoring performance. Foster a high-performance culture that encourages collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Coach and mentor to enhance the skills and capabilities of team members.
  • Business Development: Lead business development efforts to expand the customer base and increase market share in the WA region. Build and maintain relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities and threats. Use market insights to adjust sales strategies and tactics accordingly.
  • Financial Management: Monitor and manage the Motion budget. Monitor sales performance and financial metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimisation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other functional areas, such as procurement, supply chain and quality, to ensure alignment and collaboration across the organisation.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to sales activities.
  • Customer Care: Provide customers with training and support to ensure the customer can monitor, maintain and operate Exide's product safely and with maximum output.

What we ask for:

  • 5-10+ years' proven sales experience in an industrial environment.
  • Proven track record of developing new business opportunities in the Australian region for Industrial applications.
  • Degree qualification or relevant industry experience, or trade qualification.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive communication with colleagues and customers
