We have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Assistant to join our Dispute Resolution team based in our Newcastle or Sydney office. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to further their Legal Assistant career and to be a part of a collaborative team. In this role, you will provide administrative support to two Partners in our Newcastle and Sydney office and a team of lawyers.

Responsibilities
  • Attending to opening files and conducting conflict checks
  • Monthly billing, reconciliation of expenses and client reporting
  • Attending to searches on companies and individuals
  • Assisting in the preparations of court documents and correspondence
  • Attending to e-filing using online court portals
  • Coordinating meetings and diary management
  • Assisting the team with file management
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers and stakeholders
  • Maintaining Partners/lawyers' contacts in our firm CRM InterAction, including assisting with list management on their behalf for events and communications
About You
  • At least 3 years' experience as a legal assistant within litigation
  • Excellent communication and written skills
  • Proactive and able to prioritise tasks
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong administrative support skills – ability to learn or understand billing and document management systems
  • Experience using Aderant and iManage
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
