Port Macquarie Veterinary Hospital situated on the beautiful mid-north coast of New South Wales is looking for another veterinarian to join our existing team of 5 vets. We are one of the few remaining independently owned hospitals in the region which enables us to build a great team culture where each staff member is valued and allowed to thrive as they work up their patients.

With over 80 years of experience shared amongst the senior vets, mentoring and supervision is always available. A 4-day working week and minimal after-hours work enables a wonderful lifestyle to be enjoyed by our vets. A focus on mental health is emphasised due to the professions vulnerabilities and we regularly get together out of work to socialise.

The clinic has all the necessary accessories including 2 digital x ray set ups, ultrasounds and in house laboratory so each case can get the best veterinary care that suits an owner's budget. Each vet has a dedicated day in surgery and the rest of the days are spent consulting. We offer referral surgical options for our region, so further learning is always available if you have a special interest in surgery.

Salary is based on experience and ranges between $80 000 to 130 000 per annum. This excludes superannuation, AVA memberships and CPD allowances which are all added in.

The 4 clinics in town share the after-hours work on a roster so each vet does about 20 nights per year on call.
