About the Client

Our client is a leading international bank with a strong presence in Sydney CBD, specialising in Corporate and Institutional Lending. They are seeking an experienced Credit Risk Manager to join their established team and play a key role in managing and assessing credit risk across their lending portfolio.

The Role

As a Credit Risk Manager, you will be responsible for assessing, reviewing, and managing credit submissions for both new and existing Corporate and Institutional clients. You will ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, provide clear recommendations, and liaise with stakeholders both locally and with head office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess Corporate and Institutional loan applications submitted by the sales team.
  • Review credit submissions for policy alignment and perform full due diligence.
  • Present credit recommendations to the Credit Committee.
  • Monitor risks, keeping up to date with industry regulations and credit policies.
  • Liaise with head office to ensure global policy and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide timely updates, documentation, and reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external parties to support credit processes.
About You
  • Proven experience as a Commercial / Corporate Credit Risk Manager.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within Corporate or Institutional Banking.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Commerce, Finance, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with sound judgement in credit assessment.
  • Skilled in reviewing and interpreting complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence presenting to committees.
  • Mandarin language skills (speaking and writing) are essential.
