About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver capital works, base upgrades, and critical Defence infrastructure projects across QLD, NT, and WA. You'll lead multidisciplinary teams and oversee all aspects of project delivery—ensuring compliance with Defence requirements, managing subcontractors, and maintaining high standards of safety, cost, quality, and schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of Defence infrastructure projects across regional and metro sites.
  • Lead project planning, contract administration, stakeholder engagement, and construction delivery.
  • Ensure alignment with Defence security protocols, quality standards, and delivery frameworks.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and internal teams across engineering, safety, and commercial functions.
  • Drive risk management, program forecasting, and reporting in line with Tier 1 governance.

Mandatory Requirements
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience delivering Defence infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of Defence contract models including Construct Only, D&C, ECI, or Managing Contractor.
  • Demonstrated capability managing infrastructure projects in live environments and remote locations.
  • Ability to engage with Defence stakeholders, consultants, and internal delivery teams.
  • Eligible to obtain (or currently hold) Baseline or NV1 security clearance.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • 7-10+ years' construction industry experience with at least 4 years in Defence infrastructure.
  • Proven experience working in Tier 1 construction roles
  • Excellent leadership, risk management, and project controls capability.
