Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is a public health service serving the Nepean, Blue Mountains and Lithgow regions. Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital providing tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatrics, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation and surgery. Role Description

Join a service that values safe, compassionate and person-centred healthcare. We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our dedicated Stomal Therapy team. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide education and guidance to stoma patients, supporting the patient journey from pre-operative assessment into post-operative management. Your contributions will help shape how care is delivered and ensure each patient receives appropriate respect, attention and expertise.

What You Will Bring To The Role
  • Current registration with AHPRA - Division 1 Registered Nurse
  • Post-registration Qualifications in Stoma Therapy
  • At least 3 years full time equivalent experience working in Gastrointestinal Surgery and/or Stoma Therapy
  • Commitment to champion, educate and lead a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes
  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making abilities according to best practice
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, carers and a diverse range of health care providers
  • Demonstrated commitment to clinical practice development
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while remaining engaged with the wider multidisciplinary team
