Position: Desktop Troubleshooting Technician. (Students Welcome to Apply)

Work Mode: Part Time and Work from Home/Client Site.

Pay out: $30-$40 per hour on ABN, travel reimbursements, and commissions on up-sell.

Locations Available: Wollongong – involves traveling to customers.

About The Company

We are V4 Services Group based in Melbourne. This position is for our IT Support business division for our Customers in other Australian cities. In our IT division, we provide online and on-site support for home and business users, along with other offerings.

About The Role
  • Providing IT Support (Onsite) to Home and Business Users for issues such as emails, internet setup, printers, Windows and Mac troubleshooting, data recovery, software and hardware troubleshooting, etc.
  • This role may require traveling around different suburbs.
Essential Requirements For This Role
  • Minimum 1 year of demonstrated experience in Desktop Troubleshooting. Experience can be in Australia or overseas.
  • Technical knowledge of diagnosing problems and issues such as installation, maintenance, repair, upgrade and configuration, and troubleshooting of desktops, software, hardware, printers, internet, email and operating systems.
  • Having customer facing experience is an added advantage.
  • Very strong verbal communication skills.
  • Must have own vehicle and a valid Australian Driving License in case traveling to customers.
  • Quick thinker and self-motivated with a go-getter attitude.
  • Motivated to earn commissions on up-selling support packages to existing customers.
  • You have to be based in Wollongong and should have work rights. (Candidates applying from outside Australia shall not be considered.)
Important Things To Know Before You Apply
  • This is a part-time role to begin with and can be converted to permanent full-time later.
  • There is no minimum guaranteed number of hours per week; on average, part-time technicians get around 20-25 hours of work per week depending on the location.
  • It's an on-demand support role.
  • You should be prepared to work and travel within a radius of at least 30 kms from your base location. The larger your radius, the more work you get.
  • You can choose to work on weekends too for additional income.
  • Students from Computer and IT backgrounds can apply.
  • Travel is involved; you must have your own vehicle.
