Operations Controller

Location: Launceston

Join Kinetic and play a pivotal role in ensuring our services run smoothly and efficiently. As an Operations Controller, you'll be at the heart of daily bus operations—coordinating drivers, vehicles, and resources to keep our communities moving. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where every day is different.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate bus and driver movements for scheduled services, maintenance, fuelling, and operational needs
  • Manage crew and vehicle changeovers, responding quickly to breakdowns, delays, and staffing changes
  • Support frontline driving staff during both routine and emergency situations
  • Monitor compliance with National Fatigue guidelines, regulations, and Enterprise Agreements
  • Maintain accurate operational records for incidents, service disruptions, and performance analysis
  • Assist with charter allocations, quoting, and coordination with the Sales Support team
  • Engage with drivers and staff to foster a high-performance, safety-focused culture

About You

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in operations coordination, ideally with supervisory exposure
  • Current C class driver's licence (MR licence preferred or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid State Driving Authority and Working with Children Check
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead and support teams in high-pressure situations
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a focus on continuous improvement
